Member Spotlight - Keely McDonald

Keely McDonald is currently the SMI Membership Committee Chair and Senior Laboratory Manager with the Newberry-McDonald Group at the Washington University School of Medicine. You will commonly find Keely designing research protocols, including developing procedures for the collection, verification and management of data; assisting with grant preparation and reporting; as well as, performing complex statistical analysis of data collected and writing interpretative reports.

Keely states, "I hope to bring a different perspective to the membership committee and help broaden the scope of who should be a part of SMI. My journey in academic science has taken a non traditional path but I hope reach more scientists like myself.  The membership committee is focusing on maintaining members even when they transition to industry."
