Position Description
Postdoctoral research position in the Laboratory of Mucosal Immunology (www.ivanovlab.com) in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University. The laboratory uses in vivo and “-omics” approaches to study the interplay between commensal microbes and host physiology with focus on mucosal and tissue immunity and metabolism. The Postdoctoral Scientist will conduct research in the area of intestinal immune homeostasis, microbiota engineering and the role of diet, metabolism and intestinal immunity in metabolic diseases (Ladinsky et al., Science 2019, Kawano et al., Cell 2022, Brockmann et al., Immunity 2023).
Candidates will have an opportunity to perform cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, train in a highly collaborative environment, interact with leading researchers and be a part of a large and diverse scientific community.
